Terms of Service

The terms and conditions governing the services provided by PHG Direct.

These terms govern the services provided by PHG Direct ("we", "our", "us"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Our Services

PHG Direct provides emergency plumbing, heating and gas services across the UK, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency plumbing repairs
  • Boiler repair, servicing and installation
  • Central heating installation and repair
  • Gas leak response and gas safety certificates
  • Drain unblocking and CCTV surveys
  • Carbon monoxide testing

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. Our registration number is available on request.

Quotes and Pricing

  • Quotes provided via our website or by phone are estimates based on the information you provide.
  • A final fixed price will be confirmed after an engineer has assessed the work on site.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work differs materially from the original description.
  • There is no call-out charge for standard assessments during normal working hours.

Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card and credit card.
  • For larger installations, a deposit may be required before work commences. This will be agreed in advance.
  • Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Guarantees

  • All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion.
  • Parts and materials carry the manufacturer's warranty in addition to our workmanship guarantee.
  • Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect or third-party interference.
  • To make a claim under our guarantee, contact us with your reference number and a description of the issue.

Liability

  • We carry full public liability insurance.
  • Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the work carried out.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects, damage caused by third parties, or issues beyond our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel a booking at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Emergency call-outs that have been dispatched cannot be cancelled without charge.
  • For distance contracts, you have the right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided work has not yet commenced with your agreement.

Complaints

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve any issues promptly. If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us by email or phone. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
